For most shingles, it is recommended by the manufacturer and building departments to install 4 roofing nails to the decking for proper installation. We take it a step further and install 6 nails to each shingle which brings your shingles up to code for hurricane force winds. Adding the two extra nails adds an additional 10 m.p.h. wind rating. Yes, we know we are not in a hurricane zone, but we are in the Ohio Valley which is known for it’s tornado’s.
We also install ice and water shield to all your valley’s and gutter lines . Weather Lock waterproofing under layment products resist roof deck damage. It acts as a protective layer between your roof deck and shingles. Gutter apron, drip edge, step flashing, chimney flashing is also all part of the installation package.
